How Do Amazon Promotional Codes Work – FAQ
Are Amazon promotional codes easy to find and use? Can they really help you buy what you are looking for at a nice discount? In this article, I will debunk the common myths about Amazon.com promo codes – you have probably seen tons of them offered online. Let’s do this in the form of a FAQ.
Q: What Are Amazon Promo Codes?
A: Amazon promo codes are letter and/or number combinations that you can apply at the checkout to receive a discount on certain goods. Here’s an example (note – this is an old offer and it may not work anymore): the code HAVENVIP will let you obtain a 40% discount on iPad and Kindle covers at Haven, if you buy just 1 cover from them.
Q: How Do these Codes Work?
A: To make the discount work, you need to meet a few conditions: the code needs to be current, you need to purchase a specified amount of qualified items (those with the promotional offer on their pages) from the merchant that offers the code, and you need to apply the code into the field called “Gift Cards and Promotional Codes” at checkout. If the offer is valid, it will work.
Q: How Do You Find these Codes?
A: To find these offers, you can research Amazon’s pages using Google or look through various online websites that offer them. In either case, some of the codes that you find will be out-of-date. I do offer a few sample deals on my home page as well and I always try to make sure that all of them are current, but things change often, so we can only do so much.
Q: Is There a Better Way to Find Discounts?
A: Personally, I believe that you will find more discounts if you just explore the Amazon.com discounts, rather than looking for codes. Just visit their site – the category that you are interested in, and look for “discounts” link in that category. Also, don’t forget to check out their “goldbox” deals – they are great.
